Welcome Home.

If you walk down between the windows at the southwest point of our wedge-shaped cafeteria, you can see two thirds of the horizon. The railroad tracks run past us on all sides, and depending on the time of day, the whole office can be hemmed in by trains. South of us cement mixers turn in and out of the concrete factory and trucks loaded with chicken coops come and go from the poultry plant.

At the Shamrock hotel there is a sign stressing that only registered guests are allowed in the rooms at any times. And across the parking lot the back of the violin restorer's shop is still black with soot from a long-time ago fire that took out most of the roof. You can even see the old iStock office across the tracks.

The downtown skyline is on our right - highrises and cranes building new highrises. On a clear day, you get a clear view of the Rocky Mountains in the west.

It's a pretty great view. We look forward to sharing it with you. We are very proud to announce that the largest iStockalypse ever will take place here in Calgary.

  About Social Tickets: We are offering these for the first time ever. These are intended for people who want to come out and meet other members but aren't interested in the actual shooting portion of the event. The Social ticket includes an event t-shirt and an invite to all the non-shooting portions of the 'Lypse — the kick off, the final party, workshops, etc. Social ticket holders are welcome to visit the shooting locations. We will not be providing transportation or daytime catering. Social ticket holders will not be able to participate in the shoots. This will be strictly enforced. Social tickets are $50 and available to Exclusive iStock contributors.
